Waco Driver Slams Into A Home Early Monday Morning
KWTX's Rhyan Henson reported that a woman has been hospitalized after crews had to rescue her out of her car after she hit a home and a tree.
Around 12:40 a.m. Monday morning in Waco, crews were called to report to North 14th Street and West Waco Drive. When crews arrived they said a woman's SUV veered off the road.
Reports from Waco Fire said, "the woman hit a power pole, then a tree and eventually ended up hitting a home where four people were asleep." The crews at the scene had to use the jaws of life, and a chainsaw to get the woman out of the car.
The home she hit received very minor damages, but the SUV was totaled after everything was set and done. Waco authorities said the vehicle was damaged so badly, it's difficult to see how things exactly happened.
Investigators have concluded speed wasn't a factor, and Waco Police Department are investigating the crash further.
