An 18-wheeler driver was seriously injured in a crash on early Monday afternoon.

KWTX's John Carroll reports that the crash occurred in Falls County on a rural road, and the driver of the 18 wheeler had to be flown to an area hospital in critical condition.

Falls County Sheriff Ricky Scaman said the crash involved just the 18-wheeler and happened at the intersection of FM 1771 and CR 249 to the north of Reagan.

The driver reportedly over-corrected, causing the vehicle to topple over. The was ejected from the vehicle. His identity was not released.

The 18-wheeler was hauling dirt, and receive extensive damage in the crash. The incident remained under investigation Tuesday afternoon.
