West Texans and Pandhandle folks are used to dust storms, but they freak me out. Despite the chills they send down my spine (or perhaps because of them), I love watching video of them rolling in.

Well, I was in luck today, as storms rolled through the Lubbock area and a wall of airborne dust washed over everything.

Watching these, I half expect to see Muad'Dib rolling on a sandworm while Denis Villeneuve yells, "Cut! Can we get more dust?".

Dust storms don't make my skin crawl just because they're storms, but because I'm super paranoid about getting things in my eyes. Just watching these videos is making my eyes water. Still, it's amazing to see nature at work and I can't look away.

Have you ever been caught in a dust storm? What was it like?
