Arrest Made in Early Morning Crash in Waco

KWTX reported that a driver was arrested very early morning Thursday after a two vehicle car crash in Waco. Another individual involved in the crash was transported to Baylor Scott & White Health Center in critical condition.

The car crash occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday morning, on the 2500 block of East Lake Shore Drive. in front of the Cargrill plant.

Waco authorities say the driver of an hatchback type car was turning into oncoming traffic from the eastbound direction, was struck by a pickup truck. The driver of the hatchback that was hit, was unconscious when the EMTs arrived on the scene.

The two people in the pickup truck weren't injured, but the driver was arrested for an offense related to alcohol. There were no further details presently in this case.
