Brief Disruptions To Programming Will Occur With Sun Outtage

News Radio 1400 KTEM will be experiencing brief interruptions in programming between 3 and 5 PM this week due to what’s called “sun outage”. Sun outage is a naturally occurring phenomenon affecting geostationary satellites. When the sun, broadcast satellites and the earth are in alignment, the radio frequency of the sun overpowers satellite signals, causing brief disruptions to programming.
