KWTX's Brandon Hamilton reported that the rainy weather in Central Texas may be at fault for a wreck that occurred on Wednesday morning.

The two vehicle crash happened on Interstate 35 North in Belton, and caused for a SUV and car to go into a roadside ditch of the highway.

Belton authorities said, "Driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle, which slid across several lanes and hit the median wall before hydroplaning off the highway and into the ditch, taking the Infiniti passenger car with it."

After the wreck occurred, authorities weren't sure if injuries had occurred to the drivers involved in the wreck. The 6th Avenue exit in Belton in the northbound direction of Interstate 35 was blocked off for a some time due to the accident.

Belton authorities said, "The tires on the SUV were worn and had low tread."
