Wet Central Texas Weather Leads to Crashes on I-35
KWTX's Christoper Shadrock reported that late Monday afternoon was a traffic filled day on Interstate 35 in the Central Texas area.
Interstate 35 in the southbound direction in Waco, was a nightmare for drivers yesterday in that area.
Around 5:00 p.m., on Monday, the mixture of heavy traffic and rainfall just painted a picture of disaster for drivers on the roads.
Traffic was backed up from Waco on Interstate 35 South, all the way to the U.S. Highway 84/Bellmead Drive exit on Interstate 35 South.
The Texas Department of Transportation was getting the word out to motorists to avoid the area, and to expect delays of 20 minutes of more in the area.
Two of the three lanes in the southbound direction were shut down, due to crashes taking place in the area.
