I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 3/22/13

Syndicated columnists and TV talking heads have identified the key problem the Republican Party is facing. It has too many conservatives. I’ve just read three columns – by Dana Milbank and Michael Gerson, of the Washington Post, and Carl Leubsdorf of the Dallas Morning News. All three are issuing dire warnings to the GOP. Milbank says the party must distance itself from the racial comments of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. Is this true? I don’t think so. Perceptions of the Republican Party, shaped during the election, were formed by a massive smear campaign put on by the Obama election team. Obama and his surrogates had few accomplishments to brag about, so they talked incessantly about Republicans. There was a constant drone that Republicans were racist, rich and not paying their fair share, and were conducting a war on women. The Romney campaign did not fight back.
